Rhodes Must Fall: a Perspective (04/03/16)
The first activity on the Facebook page of the student protest group Rhodes Must Fall took the form of three photos, accompanied only by the caption ‘#RhodesMustFall’. The photos showed the statue of Cecil Rhodes at the University of Cape Town covered in sheets by protesters, and were posted on 12/03/15 by Siyabonga Sibaya Ntombela, who tagged the Rhodes Must Fall page in his post. The original post can be found here.
